There was unprecedented levels of sexual freedom celebrated among the worldÂ’s youth, and teenagers around the world revolted against the generations before them. Standing in the airport in San Diego, I began to wonder exactly how long it was going to take to get to the city of Chita in Siberia. The combination of a vodka hangover, three flights, one train ride and a jump over the international date line didnÂ’t help. At first glance, it looked like a total of two days, which wasnÂ’t bad for going to the other side of the earth.

When visiting a third world country it is important to know the money you are spending is actually doing some good in the communities you will be visiting. Your visit will then be changing a life or for the better. You do not even have to be involved. If you choose just to relax and enjoy your vacation this is fine – your vacation is changing lives for the better. This is, however, if you choose your operator with care and discernment.
